Kremer's Turf Farm has selected 4 types of
Bluegrass. The varieties composing this blend have been selected to develop a sod
with characteristics needed to produce a turf that will withstand the regions of
Colorado. The blend has a dark green color, a fine blade, the ability to root
quickly, and a blend designed for better than average drought tolerance. The four
types of turf seed used are:
SR 2100 Kentucky Bluegrass, Limousine, Glade, and Ram I
SR 2100 Kentucky Bluegrass
This is an attractive, vigorous, very
aggressive sod with medium dark green color and of good density. It is a very
durable, drought resistant turf. It also has the ability to establish rapidly,
recover from stress, and is highly disease resistant.
Limousine
A high quality aggressive sod showing an
early dary green color. This sod is low growing with high density. It can be
mowed shorter because of its denseness. Very durable, has a good traffic tolerance.
Glade
A vigorous, dark green, fine-textured sod,
tolerant of low mowing. It has about a 60% shade tolerance. Highly disease
resistant. Establishes quickly, with a dense, rhizomes and root system.
Ram I
Excellent dark green color, highdensity, low
growth habit. Tolerant to a close mowing with a slower growth habit. Very
tolerant to low iron levels on soils. One of the top varieties in drought tolerance
around the country.
